Pharmaron\'s Preclinical Services Laboratory (formerly Bridge Laboratories China)
AAALAC-accredited facility in Beijing is one of the largest vivariums in China, built from the ground up to be US GLP-compliant. This brand new, state-of-the-art facility is located in the largest life sciences park in China and houses various species of animals including mice, rats, rabbits, canines, and primates.

All GLP studies are audited by an independent Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), comply with US FDA Good Laboratory Practices (GLP; 21CFR Part 58), and are managed with US-level animal welfare oversight. The ProvantisTM Study Data Collection and Management System has been implemented and validated across all systems at our Beijing laboratory.

State-of-the-Art Laboratory

The laboratory is an approximately 84,000 square foot, purpose-built laboratory with full barrier animal rooms with HEPA filtration of 10,000 class and conventional large animal rooms with pre and media filters, formulation areas, diet preparation areas, necropsy rooms, aseptic surgery suites, and a yellow-light laboratory with archival storage offered in a separate area. The animal facility, the server room, and the archive refrigerator/freezer have a complete emergency backup power system.

Highest Standards
The facility is CMST (Chinese Ministry for Science and Technology) approved and AAALAC accredited. The laboratory has a fully functioning Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Animal rooms are state-of-the-art, including rodent rooms with 100% HEPA-filtered air and individual heat, ventilation, air-conditioning, and humidity control. Room temperature, humidity, pressure and fresh air exchange are alarmed and monitored by a site-central station 24 hours a day. Room temperature, humidity, and pressure for each study are continuously recorded. Animals are provided with certified diets and filtered and UV sterilized water. The laboratory-based science and personnel water is charcoal filtered, UV sterilized, and reverse-osmosis filtered, including deionization. All cages are stainless steel of sizes that meet or exceed the recommended guidelines of the NIH Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.
