Advanced BioScience Laboratories (ABL) Overview

GMP BioManufacturing
- Our GMP facility has several Class 10,000 and 100,000 cleanrooms for the production of biological products for use in Phase I and II clinical trials.
- ABL can produce and purify proteins expressed in bacteria, insect, yeast and mammalian cell systems.
- We are experienced in the preparation of cell banks, process development, release testing and other services and have produced 14 different products for clinical use over the past five years.
- We also have separate rooms that are involved in large scale production of HIV-1, HIV-2 and SIV envelope and core proteins for use in FDA licensed diagnostic kits.
- ABL performs GMP fill and finish for large and small molecule products.

Animal Models
- ABL maintains a separate 27,000 square-foot animal facility currently housing nonhuman primates along with rabbits and rodents.
- Vaccine immunogenicity studies and immunomonitoring
- Asses cell mediated and humoral immune response
o ELISAs, immunophenotyping, ELISPOT, IFN-Gamma, ICC, FACs, CBA, LPA, etc
- Ability to perform standard and complex surgeries and tissue collections
- The facility is USDA-licensed, AAALAC-accredited, and OPRR-assured and is operated under BioSafety Level (BSL)-2 containment with BSL-3 practices.
- ABL complies with the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, the Animal Welfare Act, PHS Policy and other applicable laws.
- ABL has a Category 1 assurance of compliance with Public Health Service Policy on
- Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (Assurance Number A3467-01), issued by the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, NIH, PHS, DHHS.

Contract Research Services
- ABL has extensive experience with custom research studies and lab services.
- We have a long history of providing immunomonitoring services (ELISA, Epitope Mapping, Western Blot, Lymphocyte Isolation, Flow Cytometry, ELISPOT, etc), cell banking, and expansion and QC of viruses (HIV, SIV, Vaccinia, CMV, HTLV, and FIV) and hybridomas to our clients.
- ABL can also provide a wide array of virologic assays for research use such as RNA viral load testing by NASBA, anti-viral and virus neutralization assays, RIPA, antigen capture, RT assays, and many others.

Viral Reagents
