Absorption Systems Overview

Absorption Systems is a CRO located in San Diego. Not only are we local and a BIOCOM member, we are also the largest and most experienced CRO in Southern California. Absorption Systems offers a complete range of preclinical testing services, including pharmacokinetics, toxicology, biocompatibility, and medical device studies. The facility is AAALAC-accredited, GLP-compliant, and licensed by the NIH and USDA. The newly renovated surgery suite includes a sterile operating room, pre- and post-op rooms, necropsy, and observation suite. The suite is equipped with state-of-the-art fluoroscopy, electronic surgical table, anesthesia, vital signs monitoring equipment, and basic surgical instrumentation. We also provide turn-key vivarium leases to local biopharmaceutical companies, providing immediate access with no capital investment, and the advantage of scalability. As a convenience, Absorption Systems offers technical assistance, formulation development and assessment, and bioanalysis. Leases are available to accommodate small and large animal species, immunocompromised animals, and BSLII studies on a short- or long-term basis. Our vivarium is conveniently located in central San Diego, only a few minutes' drive from most key biotech centers and the airport. Our vivarium services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
